It blows my mind how clever, inspiring & amazing people can be…
It makes me feel a tad insignificant THEN it inspires the b-jezuz out of me to do something myself..
Sharon is the creator of MV Organic Skincare. A master Facialist and holistic skin specialist. Passionate about the growth of the organic industry.
MV Organic Skincare is one of the most divine organic skincare ranges you are likely to find. An award winning range that gets continuously glowing reviews, generally from industry experts and well known beauties. Beauties like Rosie Huntington-Whitely and actors Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Watson and Melissa George. These ladies know a thing or two about glowing gorgeous skin.
I LOVE that Sharon talks about making skincare more than just routine and a chore. Coming from a ritualist space when incorporating it into your day. ”Skincare should be a simple yet profoundly nurturing ritual – a unique and beautiful experience”
If you are lucky enough to live in Sydney you could even experience the MV Radiance Room and indulge in a blissful treatment which is more than just a facial, Sharon incorporates beauty therapy, yoga, meditation and reiki to the treatment.
So very very grateful to feature such a phenomenal woman, and so very lucky that Sharon has taken the time from your globe trotting facialism (!) and organic skincare activism to share with us some insights into her everyday life and living.
I particularly like the daily ritual with her daughter! You guys sound hilarious together!

A little about yourself:
I grew up in the countryside in the North West of England where the local land settlements (small strip farms) were only a 5 minute walk away. Back then, we ate what was in season and what was grown within a 20 mile radius. We supported local stores who supported local businesses. I had no idea just how much things would change and certainly no idea I would end up living on the other side of the world in Australia.
Equally, as a tom-boy who loved riding motorbikes long before I was old enough to have a licence, I would never have guessed I’d become an organic skincare formulator and Facialist. Formulating natural and organic skincare is enormously satisfying because I’ve created something that’s good for our planet and good for our body. The cherry on the cake is that I love giving facials and get to travel the world doing this.
Daily Rituals for the:
A simple 5 min meditation before I get out of bed. It makes me feel like I’ve wiped the slate clean.
A brisk walk down to the harbour to check out the view before I start my day. Sydney must be one of the most beautiful cities in the world so I try to make the most of it.
A face-pulling session with my teenage daughter. We call it ‘flat face’ and immediately after we’ve done it we fall about laughing. I never tire of this crazy ritual because it amplifies the connection between us and let’s face it, what’s better than a good laugh?!
A glass of warm water and lemon juice to start my day.
The MV 3 Minute Skin Ritual. I love my twice daily ritual and the power of essential oils never ceases to amaze me. The subtle things in life can be so powerful.
What are you most grateful for on this day:
The facial I had this morning – it’s my treat every 6 weeks and I look forward to it SO much.
Natural beauty to you is:
Being completely comfortable in your own skin so I guess for me, natural beauty is a way of being.
Favourite natural beauty products:
MV Pure Jojoba, MV Instant Revival Booster (for this season) and RMS make-up.
Your daily nutrition consists of:
My breakfasts – which I love – vary a lot. My favourites are natural yoghurt with spicy stewed apples and pears, 2 soft boiled eggs and a slice of sourdough with avocado or – when I’m feeling naughty – a fresh raspberry brioche form the French Patisserie 5 mins from my place. These exquisite French delights are made with love so, when I indulge, I never feel guilty.
Lunch is usually very simple as my office can be hectic. Avocado and cottage cheese on gluten-free crackers with my favourite tea – Russian Caravan.
And for dinner – with my daughter in her final year of high school – anything from salmon, salad and home-made fries to a grass fed eye fillet with my daughter’s special salsa recipe and spicy rice. I could live on home-made soups but this doesn’t go down well with a year 12 student in the house!
Greatest goal achieved in the last 2 years:
Given skincare is one of the most competitive industries in the world – still being in business!
A recent discovery to shout about:
RMS Living Luminizer – it brightens up my face even on a bad day!
Ultimate way to spend the day:
I rarely get a day off so when I do I’m not rushing out to climb a mountain. Instead, I’m relaxing in my favourite chair, looking out onto the garden while I drink tea and listen to all my favourite music from the 70’s
Tips for ways in which you live a holistic life
I meditate once a day – if only for 5 minutes, I follow the 80:20 rule with diet and lifestyle as extremes of anything are not good for the soul, I buy organic whenever possible and I surround myself with people who make me laugh. Oh, and if you have a microwave – throw it out (those things freak me out)!
Favourite mantra or affirmation
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift – that’s why it’s called the present. An oldie but a goodie.
Huge, enormous thank you to the lovely and inpiring Sharon for sharing some of her life with us..
